I am Philip Ansah, a student of Information Technology (IT). I have completed Senior High and am working hard to continue with my education and open a big-time IT business.’
Philip likes to describe himself as a friendly person with good interpersonal skills. He also enjoys traveling so that he can learn more about both life and his field of IT.
Today Philip works for a small private company in the area of computer hardware. He says, ‘I am responsible for maintenance, and monitoring of the company’s computer systems and I track all documentation of hardware failure, installation, repair, and replacement.’
Philip has a unique story and rather than starting a business right now, he is using his Zidisha funded loans to increase his education, as he earns a Master’s degree in Information Technology.
He also hopes to use his education and experience to start an IT business selling computer hardware including laptop chargers, batteries, laptops, mice, etc.
Since joining Zidisha towards the end of 2021, Philip has now raised four Zidisha funded loans. Most recently, in January 2022 he raised his largest loan yet, of $126.
Shortly after receiving his loan, he took to his discussion page and shared an update on January 15, 2022. He says, ‘I used it to pay utility bills and I really thank my lenders for the support. May almighty God bless them.’
While a single loan of $10 or even $100 might not seem like much on its own, over time, as one loan turns into two and then to tens or dozens, Zidisha entrepreneurs (or students) are able to create real changes in their businesses and families.
